Overview

The Shift Coordinator role is a shift-based position supporting an end-to-end team. You will proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production demands, with emphasis on short-to-medium term strategies to drive growth plans within their area of control. Raising cultural and behavioural values is a key part of the role. The focus includes company quality, safety and environmental frameworks while developing a team working and continuous improvement culture.

Role Description

Night Shift: Mon - Thu 22:00 - 06:00. Fri 18:00 - 00:00.

As well as the above, you will generally focus on supporting the team to meet production needs and work towards continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team in ensuring maximum utilisation of resources and equipment to achieve efficient production of Right First Time products.
• Deputise for Shift Operations Manager as required.
• Ensure operational flexibility with efficient utilisation of site support functions (Engineering, Logistics, Technical).
• Ensure the safety of people and products.
• Focus on short to medium term planning (week 1 to week 4).
• Operate within a unionised environment where continuous improvement is essential to support business needs and striving for “best in class”.
• Build strong relationships with team members, peers and colleagues.
• Model and encourage the right values and behaviours.
• Embed the supply chain strategy within the team and department.
• Follow company and site processes and procedures.
• Manage budgets and assist in capital expenditure projects; drive continuous improvement through engaging teams across the site strategy.
• Maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
