Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration required.
• Entry onto GMC Specialist Register within 6 months.
• NHS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise in specialist uveitis clinics.
• Participate in the ophthalmology consultant on-call rota.
• Triage general referrals during assigned days.

Skills

Extensive experience in general ophthalmology

Ability to perform retinal laser and intravitreal injections

Independent responsibility for clinical care

Expert clinical opinion in uveitis

Management and project leadership experience

Teaching experience of junior medical staff

Research involvement and understanding

Education

Primary Medical Qualification

FRCOphth or equivalent

Higher Degree

Uveitis fellowship or another specialist training fellowship
