Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a design office for either a consultant or contractor.
• Knowledge of design and checking process relating to Category 1, 2 and 3 design checks in accordance with BS5975.
• Experience of design checks for various construction methods is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Agree technical requirements with clients and ensure understanding.
• Support technical development of tunnel construction methods.
• Prepare conceptual designs in accordance with legislation.
• Conduct risk assessments for design projects.
