The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading the full life-cycle recruiting efforts to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent across LUC. This role partners closely with hiring managers and senior leadership to design effective hiring strategies, improve recruiting processes, and ensure a positive candidate experience. The Senior Recruiter also plays a key role in employer branding and workforce planning initiatives.

The focus of the role will be finding fantastic people to fill a wide range of vacancies, from familiar admin roles, to niche technical professionals and Board level appointments. However, alongside this you will have the opportunity to get involved with projects to develop our long-term talent pipeline, engaging with education, careers events and our wider community of stakeholders.

Talent Acquisition & Hiring
  • Manage the full recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute talent strategies to fill high-priority and specialized positions.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing methods.
  • Conduct detailed candidate assessments to ensure alignment with job requirements and organizational culture.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, selection criteria, and interview strategies.
  • Advise hiring managers on hiring best practices.
Process Optimization
  • Evaluate and refine recruiting processes to improve efficiency, quality of hire, and time-to-fill.
  • Maintain ATS accuracy, track recruiting metrics, and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) initiatives and good practice within the hiring process.
Employer Branding
  • Represent the company at career fairs and networking events.
  • Contribute to employer branding strategies including social media and job advertising.

The role includes the opportunity to share and participate actively in the management and ownership of the business through the Employee Ownership Trust, which places full ownership of the company with the employees.

The role is based in LUC’s offices in Bristol or London. We work in a hybrid model with people being in the office a minimum of two days per week. There will also be travel required to visit sites, client offices and other office locations.

A full-time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). However, LUC has a strong track record in flexible working, and we have been recognised for our flexible working culture, so we are happy to discuss a range of flexible working options for this role including part time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) if desired.
