Job description
Overview

LADbible Group is the most engaged publisher on social media, globally. With over 520 million followers, 13.9 billion monthly social views, and a growing network of brands reaching every corner of youth culture, we’ve become the voice of a generation. Our mission is to inform, entertain and empower through content that drives thought, laughter, action and change. From LADbible’s proudly mainstream, feel‑good stories to UNILAD’s bold, people‑first journalism our brands shape the digital experiences of Millennials and Gen Z at scale.

In a major new chapter, Betches is now part of LBG Media and we’re officially launching in the UK.

Betches is a comedy‑led media brand for women with a global audience of 250M+ across social, podcasts, web, live formats and e‑commerce. Our honest, witty and culturally fluent takes turns the internet’s latest in pop culture, dating, fashion, beauty and sport into content that feels like the group chat — and has built a uniquely loyal global community.

If you know your Real Housewives franchises inside out, your UK Huns like your A‑Zs, stay across Love Island drama as it’s unfolding, clock fashion and beauty moments the second they land, and can quote Gemma Collins like it’s second nature, you already understand the Betches UK voice.

About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, funny, and culturally fluent Senior Social Media Journalist to be a key editorial voice for Betches UK. This role is for an experienced interviewer and social journalist with a strong point of view, who knows how to spot, report on, and comment on culture with confidence and humour.

You’ll create social‑first editorial content across pop culture, entertainment, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, dating, and sport – turning stories into timely, opinionated posts and graphics that feel unmistakably Betches.

You’ll represent Betches UK at press events, launches, and junkets, pitching for and securing talent opportunities, drawing on established PR relationships.

A strong on‑camera presence is essential, with opportunities to contribute to sketches and front original formats. You’ll also bring a sharp eye for design, confidently using Canva (or similar tools) to create scroll‑stopping visuals.

What the opportunity looks like
  • Conduct high‑profile interviews, red carpets, junkets and industry events on behalf of Betches UK, becoming a trusted on‑camera face for our biggest editorial moments.
  • Work closely with the editorial team, playing a key role in shaping interview output across the team, helping refine questions, angles and hooks for optimal performance.
  • Produce social‑first editorial content for the grid, including reaction posts, article‑style carousels, gift guide graphics, live reporting of awards shows and commentary‑led formats.
  • Appear on camera regularly across interviews, original formats and select sketches, bringing a confident, funny editorial presence.
  • Use mobile editing software (CapCut or similar) to lightly cut social footage and work alongside Video Editors to guide and feed back on interview edits.
  • Stay across breaking pop culture news, internet trends and emerging talent, identifying stories and moments with a clear Betches angle.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with PRs, talent teams, agencies and industry partners.
  • Act as a senior editorial voice within the team, sense‑checking copy and framing, and supporting the flow and quality of day‑to‑day output.
  • Ensure all content follows best practice around media permissions, credits, rights and copyright.
  • Feed into branded content ideation and execution when required, ensuring commercial work reflects Betches’ tone, humour and editorial standards.
  • Step in to support editorial oversight when needed to keep output confident, accurate and on‑brand.
  • Bring the Big Hun Energy! x
Skills and experience we’d like you to have
  • 3–5+ years’ experience as a digital or social journalist working across entertainment, pop culture or lifestyle, with a strong understanding of how stories perform on social platforms and a fantastic sense of humour.
  • Strong editorial judgement, with the ability to write clean, confident copy, sharp headlines and culturally fluent captions, and to sense‑check and elevate others’ work when needed.
  • Proven experience interviewing talent, with the confidence to prep effectively, pitch angles, ask strong questions and pull out moments that will land and travel on social.
  • Confident and natural on camera, comfortable delivering commentary‑led content as well as lighter, personality‑driven formats.
  • Deep cultural fluency, staying across celebrity news, fashion and beauty moments, internet discourse, rising creators and niche trends, and knowing what’s worth acting on.
  • A solid understanding of media permissions, credits, rights and best practice, with the judgement to flag issues and steer content appropriately.
  • Comfortable creating designed social content, including carousels, explainers and gift guides, using Canva (Photoshop a bonus).
  • Able to make quick social cuts using mobile editing tools such as CapCut, and confident working with Video Editors to guide, sense‑check and feed back on interview edits.
  • A genuine affinity with the Betches voice, humour and audience, with the ability to apply that tone consistently across editorial formats.
