A leading organization in the UK food & drink industry is seeking a Technical and Secretariat Support specialist. This role focuses on regulatory and policy support for the UK Tea and Infusions Association, requiring strong analytical skills and a relevant degree. The candidate will manage communications, provide secretarial support for committees, and liaise with government officials and industry stakeholders. The position offers a salary of £41k and excellent benefits, including hybrid working arrangements.

Hours 35 hours per week; hybrid working (2-3 days in the office per week)
This role will predominantly provide technical and secretariat support to the UK Tea and Infusions Association, keeping them up to date across a broad range of policy and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with their CEO along with Food and Drink Federation (FDF) policy experts across a range of food safety topics - for example Microplastics and Pesticide use - as well as keeping an overview of a range of broader policies like the impact of trade deals. You will work with technical experts in food manufacturing companies and need to confidently liaise with government officials as well as a range of stakeholders both in the UK and EU.
This opportunity is part of the Associations team, which sits in the broader Regulation and Science team at FDF, the representative body of the UK’s largest manufacturing sector. The Association team provides technical and secretariat support to a range of sector specific trade bodies, who are members of FDF.
