Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Team Manager (TM) for Safeguarding Team in Northamptonshire's Children's Trust.

Job Title: Team Manager - Safeguarding Team

Pay Rate: £42 per hour

Location: One Angel Square, Northampton NN1 1ED

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Style: Hybrid - Minimum 3 days per week office-based

Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Team Manager essential

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to join our Safeguarding Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring effective safeguarding practices, and leading with confidence and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and supervise the Safeguarding Team to ensure effective safeguarding practices are in place.
  • Provide professional guidance and support to social workers and other team members.
  • Manage complex casework and ensure that children's welfare is the highest priority.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safeguarding standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children at risk.
  • Ensure that all reports and assessments are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing opportunities for professional development.
Essential Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Safeguarding Team at a managerial level.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding standards.
  • A social work qualification and HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive cases in a professional manner.
  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services.
  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle.
