Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Leicester, GB, LE8 6LH

The role

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll be a key influencer in driving a “right first time” culture across our operations. You’ll lead quality initiatives, ensure compliance with rigorous standards, and make a tangible impact on projects that support national energy security. This is a hands‑on role where your expertise will shape processes, improve performance, and contribute to a safer, more sustainable future. Day‑to‑day responsibilities
  • Act as a credible leader of quality, promoting a “right first time” approach
  • Implement and manage site‑specific quality arrangements
  • Collaborate with the wider quality team to optimise resource deployment
  • Prepare and analyse quality performance data, recommending improvements
  • Review and approve supplier quality arrangements, including manufacturing documentation

This role is full‑time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Whetstone, Leicestershire. You may be required to occasionally travel around the UK.

Essential experience
  • Background in a highly regulated industry, ideally nuclear
  • HNC or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (ISO 19443 and 40001 advantageous)
