Job summary

A leading chemical manufacturer in the UK is seeking a Process Safety Specialist to ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and improve Process Safety Performance across the organization. The successful candidate will require a degree in Chemical/Process Engineering, ideally at chartered level, and have at least 10 years of experience in the chemical industry, with a focus on process safety. This position demands excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations or engineering in the chemical industry.
• At least 5 years in a process safety role.
• Experience leading HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA studies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with COMAH and drive improvements in Process Safety Performance.
• Maintain effective systems for COMAH management.
• Provide design support for safety systems.
• Develop and maintain the MOC procedure.
