These are dynamictimes in Test Valley as we meet the challenge of accommodating the new housing and commercial growth weneed to plan for across the borough, and deliver masterplan led regenerationprojects in Andover and Romsey, as well as contributing to the Council’s ambitious climate change agenda

Test Valley comprises a diverse and attractive natural and built environment including the North Wessex Downs National Landscape, historic town of Romsey, and the River Test, along with largest settlement of Andover which is the commercial centre of the borough

We are therefore hoping that you will join us to help deliver what our communities and unique environment needs

The post provides opportunities to work creatively on a wide variety of development schemes With a positive attitude to development, you’ll be responsible for your own case load of interesting and complex applications, attending Committee, and representing the Council at appeal

With previous experience of working in development management, you’ll be a confident communicator, with the ability to work proactively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Councillors, parish councils, planning agents and members of the public

Bringing a fresh perspective to our well-established and friendly team of professionals, we also welcome constructive and respectful challenge with the aim of continuously improving the service for our residents and businesses
