A progressive local council in England is seeking a Senior Planning Officer for a job share role, requiring up to 18.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload of planning applications, engaging with a variety of stakeholders including councillors and the public. The post provides opportunities to work creatively on a wide variety of development schemes With a positive attitude to development, you’ll be responsible for your own case load of interesting and complex applications, attending Committee, and representing the Council at appeal
With previous experience of working in development management, you’ll be a confident communicator, with the ability to work proactively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Councillors, parish councils, planning agents and members of the public
