Job summary

A leading law firm is seeking a Paralegal/Senior Paralegal to join its specialist Volume Motor team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. The successful candidate will manage a caseload, handle all procedural tasks, draft pleadings, and negotiate settlements. Previous experience in Motor/RTA litigation is required. Qualifications

  • Previous Motor/RTA litigation experience is essential.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently by managing time in a fast-paced environment.
  • A professional manner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a caseload of ~70 files at any one time.
  • Deal with all procedural aspects from issue through to trial.
  • Draft all pleadings.
  • Demonstrate the ability to value personal injury using JC Guidelines and case law.
  • Assess claims for special damages.
  • Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
  • Prepare witness statements for court proceedings.
  • Attend conferences with counsel when required.
  • Liaise with other professionals effectively.
  • Ensure all management information is completed timely and accurately.
  • Adhere to client SLA requirements.
