Job description
Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager

Geomiq is the UK’s leading Digital Manufacturing Marketplace, offering an AI‑powered B2B MaaS (Manufacturing as a Service) solution that connects buyers and suppliers to drive efficiency and innovation.

Our Platform

Geomiq offers a revolutionary platform that digitizes the quoting and ordering process for custom manufactured parts, ensuring the highest operational and quality outcomes. Our primary customers are Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Procurement teams involved in creating the world’s most innovative products.

Your Mission

Own the operational engine that converts customer demand into delivered revenue cleanly, profitably, and predictably.

You’ll
  • Drive Throughput & Revenue: Ensure manufacturing orders flow seamlessly from quote to dispatch.
  • Engineer Prevention: Build and enforce preventative systems that catch issues before they hit customers, from quality escapes to late deliveries.
  • Control Contracts & Performance: Oversee supplier and manufacturing partner contracts, ensuring compliance with commercial, delivery, and quality standards.
  • Measure What Matters: Track on‑time delivery, NCR rate, yield and make those metrics visible, accurate, and relentlessly improving.
  • Lead With Discipline: Build a culture of accountability across every hub—no loose ends, no excuses, no repeat issues.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work hand‑in‑hand with Sales, Quality, and Product to align capacity, systems, and commercial priorities.
  • Report With Clarity: Deliver operational performance reports that leadership can trust—transparent, data‑backed, actionable.
You’ll Excel If You Are
  • Experienced and Battle‑Tested: You’ve run operations in manufacturing, supply chain, or commercial delivery and seen both success and failure.
  • Preventative by Nature: You don’t firefight; you build systems that make firefighting unnecessary.
  • Commercially Grounded: You understand how operational precision drives margin, retention, and growth.
  • Militant About Standards: You enforce quality and process with calm intensity, not chaos.
  • Data‑Literate and System‑Savvy: You use tools (CRM, ERP, dashboards) to inform, not overwhelm.
  • Operationally Bilingual: You can speak the language of engineers, suppliers, and executives and make them all align.
Why This Role Matters

Every pound of growth runs through operations. If we deliver late or fail quality, we don’t grow. This role exists to ensure that doesn’t happen. You’ll have full visibility and influence over how the business scales by building the systems, teams, and habits that turn manufacturing complexity into consistent performance.

Experience Required
  • 715 years in manufacturing operations, production, or supply chain, ideally within CNC machining, Injection Moulding or contract manufacturing.
  • Proven track record owning throughput, delivery, and margin performance, not just process or project oversight.
  • Strong commercial acumen, confident managing contracts, supplier SLAs, and quote‑to‑cash processes.
  • Experienced in preventative quality systems (RCA, CAPA, ISO 9001 mindset) and building processes that stop repeat issues.
  • Comfortable with data and digital tools (ERP, CRM, dashboards) using metrics to drive action, not just report.
  • Experience managing distributed suppliers or teams across multiple regions (UK, China, India, EU preferred).
  • Exceptional cross‑functional communicator, able to align Sales, Quality, and Operations on one commercial goal.
  • Has seen failure and fixed it, understands how to turn operational pain points into system‑level prevention.
Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: We offer pay that reflects your skills and the value you bring.
  • Stocked Kitchen: Enjoy snacks, fresh fruit, and drinks all day.
  • 23 Days Annual Leave: Recharge with 23 days off, plus bank holidays.
  • Birthday Off: Take an extra day to celebrate your birthday.
  • Christmas Shutdown: Relax over the holidays with additional company‑wide time off.
  • Pet‑Friendly Office: Bring your dog to our pet‑friendly workspace.
  • Team Events: Connect with colleagues through monthly team‑building activities.
  • Career Growth: Benefit from our focus on internal promotions and development.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme: Save on commuting, reduce emissions, and stay active.
  • Expanding Perks: Look forward to more benefits as we grow.
