Job description
Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Mid‑senior level, full‑time, Human Resources function, London, England, United Kingdom.

About Nothing

Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again. We're building a different kind of company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look to how they sound, feel, and function, we care about the details that make technology not just useful, but inspiring. This is a place for the curious, the creators, the ones who ask why not and mean it. If you're drawn to bold ideas, fast moves, and work that actually makes you feel something, you'll fit right in. We're not here to follow the rules. We're here to make better ones.

Founded in London in 2020, Nothing is a design‑led tech company building an alternative to the industry giants. Our products from award‑winning smartphones to expressive audio and wearables blend iconic design with intuitive engineering to put people and creativity back at the centre of consumer tech. Backed by GV, EQT Ventures, C Ventures, and influential investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we've grown from startup to global challenger in just a few years.

Why you should join us

Do you ever wonder what it takes to launch a new mobile phone on a global scale? It's chaotic the good kind! Our Global People team is the co‑pilot to the business leaders making that magic happen, from the cutting‑edge AI and Product ID teams right through to Marketing and Finance. These are career‑accelerating, high‑impact days in a influencing capacity. This isn’t your average HR role; it’s about rolling up your sleeves to tackle massive, global organisational challenges every single day. You'll be the one building the structure, designing the incentives, and delivering the talent that makes the mobile business a success worldwide. If you're looking for an effortless place to coast, this isn’t it, but if you want unparalleled exposure to C‑suite stakeholders, the chance to lead complex global projects (think M&A integration and international mobility), and the opportunity to truly own your decisions, you've definitely come to the right place.

What You'll Do
  • Be the strategic co‑pilot for our core HQ functional leaders (Marketing, AI, Legal, Finance, etc.), translating their global product roadmaps and commercial goals into tangible, high‑impact People strategy and interventions.
  • Design and deliver organisation‑wide change projects—everything from complex workforce planning and organisational restructures for fast‑moving product teams to defining the spans & layers needed for global scale‑up.
  • Develop and implement high‑stakes compensation and incentive schemes directly tied to commercial and product KPIs (like launch milestones and sales targets), ensuring pay governance and market competitiveness globally.
  • Act as the trusted counsel and coach to senior executives, providing decisive, pragmatic guidance on complex people issues, crisis response, and high‑pressure situations like product launches and corporate shifts.
  • Analyse complex HR data and build robust business cases (headcount justification, cost‑of‑hire, incentive modelling) using advanced Excel models to inform senior stakeholder decision‑making and report critical people metrics.
What You Can Bring To The Team
  • 10+ years’ significant HR experience with a proven track record in a strategic HR Business Partner or HR Management role, ideally within the fast‑paced technology or mobile/consumer electronics sector.
  • Expert‑level command of Organisational Development principles (org design, diagnostics, change management) and a verifiable history of successfully delivering large‑scale change projects in a rapid product environment.
  • Solid experience in Total Rewards, including designing commercial‑linked compensation and bonus plans, and practical expertise in talent management and leadership development for senior/technical roles.
  • Exceptional resilience and ownership. You're not “glass‑hearted” and are comfortable working autonomously, making independent decisions, and delivering end‑to‑end, hands‑on, non‑task‑selective solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and financial modelling, particularly with Excel (able to build complex models and dashboards from scratch) to create robust, data‑backed business cases for senior leaders.
Offices and working pattern
  • London (Kings Cross & Farringdon offices)
  • Full‑time, in‑office (5 days a week). We offer flexibility to accommodate personal needs where possible, but we believe the magic happens when we're all in the same room.
What we offer
  • A chance to shape the voice of one of the most exciting tech brands
  • Fast‑paced and creative environment with global reach
  • A culture that values curiosity, creativity, and doing things differently
  • A commitment to building a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming workplace for all
