Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Liverpool seeks a highly motivated Clinical Scientist in Genomics for a full-time, fixed-term position of 20 months. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic services. Responsibilities include applying specialized skills in laboratory genetics and interpreting complex genetic tests. Ideal candidates should hold a relevant biological science degree and be a State Registered Clinical Scientist. The role includes participation in a 6-day working rota, covering Saturdays and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Clinical Scientist in a relevant discipline.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot assays and techniques.
• Experience in managing and supervising in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply specialist skills in diagnostic laboratory genetics.
• Ensure effective service through regular literature reviews.
• Interpret and explain test results to patients and families.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
