An environmental consultancy in the UK is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to enhance financial planning and analysis processes within the organization. The position involves significant stakeholder engagement and advanced data analysis to influence strategic decisions. Candidates should hold a full qualification in finance with several years of relevant experience and proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modelling. This hybrid role requires one day per week in the South Manchester office, offering a key opportunity to mentor junior analysts and shape the future of FP&A.
Are you an experienced FP&A professional who thrives on turning complex numbers into clear commercial insight? Are you comfortable operating at senior stakeholder and board level, influencing decisions rather than just reporting on them? Are you looking for a role where you can genuinely shape how financial planning and analysis is done, not just inherit a fixed model?
We’re looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team at APEM Group as we move to our next phase of growth. In this role, you will sit close to senior leadership and playing a key part in shaping how the Group understands performance, plans for the future, and makes investment decisions.
You’ll build a deep understanding of the Group, its divisions, and the drivers behind performance. Working closely with the Head of FP&A, you’ll strengthen the delivery of core planning, forecasting and reporting, before progressively taking ownership of key FP&A processes for selected divisions. As the role matures, you’ll lead advanced financial modelling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and provide insight that directly informs strategic decisions, investment cases and performance improvement initiatives.
This role goes well beyond BAU reporting. You’ll input into business decisions, challenging assumptions, and translating data into insight that drives action. You’ll also help raise capability across the team, mentoring analysts and continuously improving how FP&A is delivered across the Group.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with one day per week in our South Manchester office to support collaboration with the wider finance team.
At APEM Group, you’ll be joining a business with strong foundations and ambitious plans for the future. This is a role with real influence, clear progression, and the opportunity to shape how FP&A supports a growing, purpose-driven consultancy.
We are focused on creating a diverse and inclusive team. If you can’t tick every box on our job description, then we are still keen to hear from you and are open to supporting your development. That may be working part time or supporting you to gain experience in a specific area – we are a growing company and are able to adapt roles to reflect individual skills.
If you think you have what it takes to join our fast-growing business, then please apply immediately on our website. All we need some basic information and your CV, we will review all applications quickly and will respond to all applications.
