Location: Ashford, Middlesex
Job Type: Full time (35 hours per week)

Our office hours are 9am to 5pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch break (35 hours a week).

Senior Family Associate Role

We are looking for a high calibre Family Solicitor with a minimum of 5 year’s PQE in family law to manage a caseload of children law matters (public and private law).

Responsibilities include:
  • Case Management:
    • Handle a variety of family law cases with a focus on public and private children cases.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
  • Client Care:
    • Offer high-quality legal advice and representation to clients.
    • Ensure exceptional standards of client care and maintain confidentiality.
    • Manage client expectations and provide regular updates on case progress.
  • Business Development:
    • Participate in business development activities to attract new clients.
    • Network with other professionals and organizations to promote the firm's services.
    • Contribute to marketing efforts, including writing blogs and attending events.
  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements as well as those required by the Legal Aid Agency.
    • Ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures, including those related to risk management and quality control.
The Ideal Senior Family Associate

As a Senior Family Associate it is essential you can demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in family law.
  • Holds Law Society Children Law accreditation.
  • Proven experience in handling private and private child law matters.
  • Qualified all issues/children mediator (not essential).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using legal case management software.
  • FMC Accredited Mediator.
  • Experience working under LEXCEL or equivalent practice management standards.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
