Senior Electrical Project Engineer — YWCA of Greater Harrisburg

I'm currently working with an industry leading Building Services Contractor renowned for delivering some of the largest, most prestigious and technically complex engineering solutions in the UK.

Qualifications

Looking for individuals who have over 5 years of experience as a Senior/Project Engineer or have come from a Project Engineering background and have proven experience leading projects upwards of £40 million MEP from inception till completion. This individual will also need to be client facing and have the desire to progress into Project Management with the future prospect of leading projects upwards of £100 million MEP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical delivery of large-scale MEP projects (£40 m+), ensuring all works are completed to specification, programme and budget.
• Oversee design development, technical reviews and coordination with internal engineering teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
• Manage project planning activities including procurement schedules, technical submittals, risk assessments and method statements.
• Act as the primary client‑facing representative for electrical services, attending progress meetings, presenting updates, and building strong long‑term relationships.
• Drive compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company quality processes across all project stages.
• Monitor installation progress, resolve on‑site engineering challenges, and proactively identify opportunities for programme improvement.
• Collaborate closely with commercial teams to support cost control, variations, and value engineering initiatives.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure seamless project completion.
• Mentor Junior and Project Engineers, supporting their technical development and career progression.
• Contribute to project reporting, forecasting, and performance reviews for senior leadership.
• Demonstrate ambition and capability to progress into a Project Manager role, with exposure to £100 m+ flagship schemes.
