A civil engineering consultancy based in Manchester is seeking a hands-on Senior Civil/Structural Engineer. The role supports various rail infrastructure projects, requiring strong technical design skills and the ability to solve complex problems. This position offers a hybrid working model and emphasizes team development. Candidates should possess relevant experience and a desire to contribute to impactful engineering solutions.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week – Hybrid Working: 60% Office Based

We are looking for a hands‑on, technically proficient Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Rail Civil Engineering design team. You will be supporting our Technical Directors and Design Managers to deliver a wide variety of rail infrastructure projects, including Access for All footbridges, station enhancements, platform lengthening, multi‑story carparks, and a variety of Network Rail civil and structural framework projects.
This is a key role to enhance the technical capabilities of the team as our growth journey continues, and the size and complexity of our projects continue to increase. Implementing best practices and shaping the team to be technically excellent and truly value‑adding. You will be responsible for providing clients with high‑quality, technically excellent design packages.
