Senior Chemical Process Safety Engineer - Wigan

Do you have experience working within a production environment? Are you looking for a long-term role with clear paths for progression? Then this chemical company looking to add a Senior Chemical Process Safety Engineer to the team is looking for you!

Your duties as a Senior Chemical Process Safety Engineer include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop the safety engineering philosophy, designing HSE plans, safety and equipment specifications.
• Lead process safety assessments such as HAZOPs, SIL and HAZID studies.
• Generating applicable safety reports.
• Classifying hazardous areas according to industry codes and guidelines.
• Providing technical support to projects and sites as needed.

Requirements:

• Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience leading safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA)
• Demonstrable knowledge of COMAH, DSEAR and the latest risk assessment techniques
