A leading healthcare organization in England is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine with a special interest in Transthoracic Echocardiology. This full-time position involves managing patients in a busy tertiary critical care unit and offers opportunities for echocardiography training and accreditation. The role is based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and comes with a competitive salary range of £59,950 to £67,610 per annum. Day-to-day care of patients on the adult neurosurgical and general Critical Care units. Full-time including participation in a full shift rota system (48 hours per week).
Applications are invited for appointment to Senior Clinical Fellow with specialist interest in Echocardiography (Post CCT, (certificate of completion of training) or within six months of CCT) for a Fixed Term period from February 2026 for 12 months.
The post is solely based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
This is an excellent opportunity for those who are looking to increase their experience in a busy tertiary intensive care unit and gain qualifications and experience in echocardiography post CCT.
This is a fantastic opportunity to train in echocardiography and we can support accreditation in FUSIC Heart, and both BSE Level 1 and 2. Posts can be extended up to 2 years for BSE Level 2 completion with mutual agreement. It is anticipated that about 40% of daytime activity will be protected for training in echocardiography on both the intensive care and in/outpatient echocardiography lists. An individualised schedule of echo sessions will be agreed after appointment of a successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the delivery of echo teaching, the FUSIC Heart supervision programme, echo related quality improvement projects and echo service delivery.
