Qualifications

Job Overview

Full‑time Senior Care Assistant role based in Penrith. The position works night shifts, 44 hours per week, and requires full flexibility.

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, you will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. Your duties will include planning and implementing personalised care plans, building relationships with residents and families, providing physical and mental stimulation, assisting with medication administration, supporting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, and keeping accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver care that provides residents with security, dignity and independence.
  • Maintain accurate care records and manage time effectively.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with medication administration and physical/mental stimulation activities.
  • Communicate with residents, families and co‑workers with kindness and consideration.
  • Recognise and act on signs of abuse, harm or neglect – complete safeguarding training and report concerns.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Completed Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Prepared to progress towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent.
  • Background in person‑centred care planning and dementia care.
  • Strong record‑keeping, time‑management and people‑skills.
  • Positive energy, natural ability to get along with people.
