Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Senior Care Assistant to lead a team of Care Assistants, support clinical duties, and provide person‑centred care to residents. You will have the opportunity to train on digital care tools, maintain high clinical standards, and collaborate closely with nurses, GPs, and district nurses to improve residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Run day‑to‑day operations of the unit, ensuring smooth shift handovers.
  • Provide clinical support: assist nurses with medication administration, care‑plan reviews, and accurate record‑keeping.
  • Lead and manage a team of Care Assistants, supervising new staff and delivering training.
  • Build relationships with residents, families, and external team members, including GPs and district nurses.
  • Assist residents with personal care duties to maintain independence and dignity.
Qualifications & Key Skills
  • NVQ3 in care or working towards it; Bupa will support completion if needed.
  • Motivated, positive, and an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or related role; understanding of clinical duties within a care home.
