The Senior Account Manager leads high-value and/or geographically diverse client accounts and is responsible for driving the strategic direction of client campaigns. This role involves managing complex projects and ensuring that client strategies are executed effectively to achieve business objectives. The Senior Account Manager also plays a key role in identifying opportunities for account growth and contributing to business development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client
- Serve as the key point of client contact, collaborating closely with internal and external teams to meet client objectives.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business objectives and develop strategic marketing plans that meet their needs.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships and manage strategic interactions across key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in their marketing efforts.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform campaign strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Oversee the quality assurance process across all client deliverables. Lead compliance initiatives to meet both client and industry standards.
- Champion innovative approaches to client challenges.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Develop and present comprehensive proposals and presentations to clients.
- Create and execute account growth strategies for existing clients.
- Advocate for the needs and interests of clients within the agency, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and changes in order to deliver additional value and strategic advice to clients.
Company
- Manage complex budgets across multiple client accounts, ensuring profitability and efficient allocation of resources. Manage the financial health of jobs, including performing regular budget checks and providing timely updates to the finance team where changes occur. Support the finance team by proactively managing billing plans, POs and invoicing in Kantata.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely, high quality project deliverables.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and upselling of additional services.
- Ensure Fifth Ring processes and procedures are followed at all times
- Be a robust defender of the agency’s values, people and commercial interests.
Colleagues
- Communicate clearly and proactively with colleagues to ensure alignment and support. Produce thorough and effective briefs to ensure colleagues are aligned on project outputs and outcomes.
- Support the business development team in developing new opportunities
- Provide proactive support and updates to colleagues where necessary to ensure the smooth running of client projects and efficient and coherent service for clients.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members.
- Work effectively with the Traffic Manager and delivery team members to ensure client requirements are being met and timelines and schedules are aligned.
- Support colleagues in all Fifth Ring locations through proactive consultation, creativity and visibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- A degree in in marketing, communications, business or similar.
- Proficient experience in account management within a marketing or advertising agency.
- Proven track record of successfully managing high-profile client accounts and delivering exceptional results.
- Significant project management experience and strong client relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital marketing, and advertising strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership skills and a passion and ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Ability to direct resources efficiently with strong commercial and financial skills
- Must be fluent in English
