This role requires a commitment to safeguarding and adherence to equal opportunity principles within a supportive school environment.
St Edward’s Academy is an established and inspiring school. Our mission is to ensure that every student leaves St Edward’s as the best that they can be. Our vision is driven by our ethos that all of our community should live Life in all its fullness. This core belief is at the centre of all we do, supported by the HOPE values. Our outstanding Headteacher and leadership team have created a safe and transformative environment for students to learn, develop and thrive.
We seek to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated SENCo to join our successful school. The role involves actively pursuing the agreed aims of the school and wider Trust, maintaining an outstanding educational ethos, and ensuring all pupils receive a high-quality education.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff and volunteers share this commitment and are required to undergo a robust background check, including receipt of at least two satisfactory references, verification of identity, a Barred List check, a satisfactory DBS disclosure and verification of medical fitness and qualifications. We are committed to promoting equality of opportunity and to ensure that all staff and volunteers are treated fairly regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or creed. We are equally committed to encouraging diversity. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure check. Having a criminal record will not necessarily debar you from obtaining a position with the School.
