Job Summary
  • Employer: St Edward’s Church of England Academy
  • Salary: UPR 1-3 (FTE: £52,219 - £56,154 per annum - includes Outer London Weighting) + SENCO Allowance (a) £2,787 (b) £5,497 (dependent on experience)
  • Contract Term: Permanent
  • Start Date: Easter or September 2026

We seek to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated SENCo to join our successful school. The role involves actively pursuing the agreed aims of the school and wider Trust, maintaining an outstanding educational ethos, and ensuring all pupils receive a high-quality education.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively to determine the strategic development of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and EAL policy and provision in the school.
  • Be responsible for day‑to‑day operation of the SEND policy and co‑ordination of specific provision to support individual students with SEND.
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies.
  • Liaise with external providers of alternative provision, including attending IYFAP meetings as required.
  • Lead and develop Inclusion, Access provision, SEND, Wellbeing and Medical services.
  • Line‑manage the Learning Support Team.
