SEN Teaching Assistant, Full Time – Level 2

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEND Teaching Assistant from January 2026 to work in our foundation class.

This is a rare opportunity to join our established team of staff. We are a warm and friendly school where children thrive and enjoy their learning experience.

Our school motto is ‘A Happy School, A Brighter Future’, which is reflected in all that we do. We are committed to ensuring both staff and children enjoy their school day. This is why we have low staff turnover and are regularly oversubscribed.

We are a one-form entry primary school with 210 children who have remained within the Local Authority. Our lovely school opened in 1935 and is situated in the rural village of Northamptonshire surrounded by open fields and views across the countryside. We have excellent links to the A43 and A14.

The post will be supporting SEND children within the classroom throughout the day with specific targets and inclusion in the mainstream class routines. Ideally, you will have experience of supporting children with social, emotional and mental health barriers to learning, for example,ASD, ADHD and anxiety disorders.

  • Have experience and training with SEN children
  • Have empathy with children and a caring personality
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
