Job description
Self Employed Personal Assistant – NBRNY

Location: Skipton, North Yorkshire

Rate of Pay: £18.00 per hour

I am a parent of four children, two of whom are autistic. Our home is lively, busy, and full of activity, and I am looking for reliable and compassionate support to help our family thrive. I have a rare autoimmune condition that limits my mobility and energy levels, so I need consistent, practical support around the home. My children are home educated, which works well for us and allows us to manage our needs together, but it also means I have little downtime and no nearby family support.

About the role

This role is varied and hands-on, supporting both me and the smooth running of our home. Key tasks include:

  • General housework and tidying
  • Light cleaning and laundry
  • Meal preparation and cooking support
  • Basic home upkeep (e.g. helping to arrange small repairs or practical tasks)
  • Assisting with emails and simple admin when I am fatigued
  • Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and positive home environment
About you

The right person will be kind, patient, and adaptable, with an understanding or willingness to learn about autism and chronic illness. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a busy household with children and able to balance being proactive with respecting our family’s rhythm and routines.

If you enjoy helping others, can bring a sense of calm and reliability to a busy home, and are happy to turn your hand to a range of everyday tasks, I’d love to hear from you.

This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.

At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
