A community arts organization in North East England is seeking a Summer Arts Camp Assistant to support the operational needs of their summer arts camps. The role requires 2+ years of experience working with youth, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. This seasonal, independent contractor position offers $18/hour, with flexibility in scheduling. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with staff and demonstrate professionalism in interactions with families and the community.
The Durham Arts Council (DAC) Summer Arts Camp Assistant reports to the Arts Education Assistant Manager (Camp Manager) to provide administrative, logistical, and operational support for Summer Arts Camps at DAC from May through August. The Summer Arts Camp Assistant is a seasonal independent contractor paid $18/hour.
Work Schedule and Environment: Professional office and classroom environments on-site. Normal work week for this position during camp sessions is Monday & Tuesday 8am-4pm, Wednesday through Friday 9am-5pm. Work schedule may require flexibility between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm as needed to ensure effective coverage of camp operations.
