The Opportunity

As a Contract Manager, you will report into our Head of Operations and will be vital to the successful delivery of day to day running of security operations on-site. Your primary role will be to build a successful relationship with the client (and key stakeholders) to ensure that an outstanding level of service is delivered to the highest standard at the agreed cost. Through developing a ‘one team’ approach across the site, you will drive an efficient and professional work ethic and demonstrate Dardan’s and our Client’s values through your own behaviour. You will be responsible for the recruitment, training and development of the team.

You will be passionate about delivering exceptional client and guest experience through recruitment and development of staff to achieve the highest levels of service, safety and presentation.

Your duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage all physical security risks against people, property, information, and reputation in line with Grand Arcade Estate Policy
  • Ensure contract is run in tandem and to specified operational procedures, including the oversight and delivery of Assignment Instructions
  • Conduct Dardan Security risk assessments, investigations and implement new management ideas and processes to achieve goals and objectives
  • Deliver and set KPIs in the following areas: recruitment, training, annual leave requests, staff leadership and development opportunities
  • Lead on recruitment, including interviewing and onboarding of staff – core and relief
  • Manage HR issues and employees in line with the Company procedures to the appropriate level (uniform, holiday requests, SIA licensing, appraisals, sickness/absence, rostering, pay queries and staff welfare)
  • Motivate the team to achieve full potential; utilising appraisals, 360 feedback and in the moment management
  • Address any issues and complaints in an effective and diplomatic manner, leading by example
  • Be the first point of contact for many internal stakeholders- ensuring the smooth daily operations of the site in line with AI’s and SOP’s
  • Attend Client meetings, delivering data led solutions and innovation
  • Monitor, review and embed the creation of Security Processes on-site
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and work with Systems/Operations Specialist to maintain a secure working environment
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Full understanding of corporate and retail security
  • Highly refined verbal and writing communication skills
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills
  • Valid SIA license, including a CCTV license
  • Passion for service excellence
  • Problem solver with the ability to develop solutions quickly and ethically
  • Strong team building and motivational skills
  • Good organisational skills, ability to complete tasks quickly and effectively
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional integrity, trustworthiness
  • Ability to make immediate and effective operational decisions
  • Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Experience and wide understanding of CCTV monitoring, access control systems and incident response
