A large NHS Trust in Bedfordshire is seeking Band 5 Scrub Practitioners to join their theatre team. This role involves assisting during surgical procedures and working in a multi-disciplinary environment. Our Theatre Practitioners work towards providing high quality patient care within the perioperative setting. We welcome both experience and non-experience staff to join our supportive team. Training can also be provided to support newly registered practitioners and to those who are looking for a new career direction.

Work as part of theatre team to assist or circulate for surgical procedures. Work competently in a variety of specialities for Paediatric and adult patients. To practice in accordance with the NMC / HCPC Code of Professional Conduct and Trust policies and procedures. Work within the Operating Theatre and Maternity undertaking competencies as required. To be an effective team member. Promote interdisciplinary working, with outcomes aimed at the best interests of patients and cohesive service delivery. Participate in clinical supervision/appraisals/audits. Take every opportunity to sustain and improve own knowledge and professional competence, reporting to senior staff any deficits that impinge on practice in a timely fashion whilst meeting the needs of the service. Implement and evaluate care plans as appropriate to surgical requirement and patients condition.
