A respected educational institution in South Kensington is seeking a Science Technician to support Science lessons and maintain laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a Science degree in Chemistry, experience in an educational laboratory, and good interpersonal skills. The role offers a permanent contract with health and pension benefits, along with an enriching working environment.

Position to be filled from: from 2nd September 2024
Reporting to the Lead Science Technician and Department coordinators as Line Managers, the Science technician will provide support to the delivery of Science lessons in a well-resourced and efficient environment with due regard to the Health and Safety of all pupils and members of staff.
He/she will ensure within his remit suitable laboratory equipment is available, adequately maintained and appropriately used as well as making sure that good working practices are implemented by promoting a safe working environment.
He/she will prepare all necessary resources for experiment set-up/clearing and provide specific or ad hoc technical and administrative support to the department as and when required by the line management.

Expected Skills and Knowledge:
Working hours per year: 38h per week over 40 weeks per annum (1460h per annum) according to a time table set by your manager.
