Job description

Are you a creative marketer fizzing with ideas that you can turn into campaigns that connect with schools and parents? Do you love understanding what makes your audience tick and then crafting copy and visuals that inspire action, while keeping a close eye on what delivers results?

Then our new Schools Marketing Executive role could be a great fit for you.

About the Role

Scholastic is the home of reading. For over 100 years, we’ve been building readers across the globe through our Education, Book Fairs and Book Clubs businesses. We’re home to some amazing authors and illustrators, including Julia Donaldson, Liz Pichon, Stephen Mangan and Jenny Han, and we help connect them and their books with teachers, parents and of course, children, to support reading for pleasure.

We have a brilliant opportunity for a marketing executive to join our team working across Scholastic Education and International School Book Clubs. You’ll play a key role in delivering campaigns that support teachers and parents to help children develop the skills they need to become lifelong readers – whether they are just starting out with phonics or needing support at GCSE.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Creating engaging copy and visuals that resonate with schools, driving awareness, engagement, and conversion for key Education products and International Book Clubs
  • Planning, organising, and executing multi‑channel campaigns (print logistics, digital, social, email and web)
  • Using social media strategically to build communities, support brand growth and deliver business goals
  • Tracking and evaluating campaign performance to shape future activity
  • Collaborating with colleagues across marketing and design to ensure consistent, impactful messaging
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in a marketing role
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills – you know how to grab attention and inspire action
  • Confident with social media management
  • A creative eye for design (experience with Canva or similar is a plus)
  • Data‑driven mindset – comfortable analysing results and optimising campaigns
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects at once
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a passionate, supportive team making a difference
  • Work on campaigns that truly matter – helping schools, parents, and communities
  • Opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of marketing channels
  • Room to grow in a fast‑moving, flexible hybrid working role, with an expectation to work out of the company’s central London office on the banks of The Thames, at least 2 days per week.
