A local authority in Sageston is hiring a School Caretaker for 10 hours per week. This is an open‑ended position requiring 10 hours per week. Salary is Grade 3 – £24,796 for 10 hours per week for 52.14 weeks per annum, equating to £6,701.62 pro rata.
As caretaker, you will be responsible for security of premises, porter duties, monitoring cleanliness, operation of central heating, maintenance monitoring, and debris clearance from playground, footpaths and drives, as well as guttering. You will also perform minor repairs within the scope of an unskilled handyman, ensure economical fuel consumption, and replace light bulbs and tubes up to a height of 9 feet.
You should have good communication skills, be flexible and confident to work on your own initiative. Previous similar experience would be an advantage.
