Job description

  • Full‑time appointment on a fixed term basis to 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension
  • Base salary range: $80,243 – $88,940 p.a. plus 12% superannuation

The Perth USAsia Centre is a non‑partisan and not‑for‑profit institution. Through research and educational activities, the Centre strengthens strategic thinking between Australia, the Indo‑Pacific, and the United States and engages thought leaders to address challenges and opportunities in the Indo‑Pacific region.

Based at The University of Western Australia, the Centre is an independent company and shares the values of the University. It has a strong commitment to personal effectiveness, working collaboratively and demonstrating a focus on results. There is an expectation that this role would be based in Perth.

About the opportunity
  • Maintain and update institutional planning tools and documents for all Centre and CEO activities.
  • Monitor the workflow for all incoming activity requests, updating planning documents, timelines and calendars.
  • Administer Centre travel, including the approval process and adherence to travel procedures.
About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency.
  • Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level.
  • Substantial diary management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with external stakeholders.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal abilities.
Note

The successful applicant will be required to hold a current National Police Clearance and may be expected to undertake occasional weekend or after‑hours work, as well as domestic and overseas travel as needed.
