Qualifications

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA – Office Based (Relocating to Bolton)
Contract: Full‑Time / Permanent
Salary: Circa £45,000

About the Role

EG Group are excited to have an opening for a highly capable SAP Business Analyst to join our multi‑disciplinary Applications SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE). EG Group is in the midst of an ambitious SAP transformation programme, currently delivering 11 concurrent SAP‑related projects following a challenging SAP RISE implementation.

This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external delivery partners, ensuring SAP solutions are fit for purpose, deliver business value, and are implemented with robust governance and risk controls. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a complex, fast‑paced, and politically sensitive environment, with the ability to contribute to the recovery and stabilisation of delivery.

What you’ll be doing
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather, validate, and document detailed SAP business and functional requirements.
  • Prioritise and align requirements across multiple projects, managing interdependencies and avoiding duplication.
  • Work with SAP functional and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable, practical solutions.
  • Support remediation of previously challenged SAP workstreams through root cause analysis and improvement planning.
  • Contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle from design and build through implementation and post‑go‑live support.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure issues are resolved before go‑live.
  • Support change management and user adoption through impact assessments, training, and clear communication.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between business teams, the SAP Centre of Excellence, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and strong vendor performance.
  • Champion quality, compliance, and governance standards across all SAP solutions and deliverables.
  • Analyse existing processes and SAP capabilities to identify inefficiencies, drive continuous improvement, and embed lessons learned.
  • Support reporting and analytics using SAP tools (such as Fiori, SAP Query, and BI) to inform business decision‑making.

What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 5+ years as a Business Analyst or SAP Analyst in an enterprise‑scale SAP environment.
  • Proven experience in multi‑project SAP delivery, ideally within both ECC and S/4HANA landscapes.
  • Experience supporting recovery or remediation of challenged SAP programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, HCM) and related integration points.
  • Familiarity with SAP implementation methodologies, governance, and quality assurance practices.
  • Proficient in SAP reporting and analytics tools.
  • Skilled in vendor management and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Resilient and adaptable in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
