Role Overview
The Sales Support Executive will play a critical role in supporting the UK sales team by ensuring smooth sales operations, accurate documentation, timely coordination, and high-quality customer engagement. This role acts as a bridge between sales, operations, finance, and customers, enabling the sales team to focus on revenue generation while maintaining a professional and responsive sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the sales team with quotations, proposals, and order processing
- Act as the first point of contact for sales-related customer queries
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
- Assist in managing key accounts and follow‑ups
Sales Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, finance, operations) to ensure timely order fulfilment
- Track order status and communicate updates to customers and sales managers
- Support contract administration, framework agreements, and pricing approvals
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate sales data
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries
- Track sales pipelines, conversion rates, and outstanding actions
- Support invoicing coordination and basic commercial documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal sales processes and documentation standards
Marketing & Business Support
- Support sales‑led marketing activities such as events, product launches, customer presentations, and attending exhibitions
- Assist in preparing sales presentations and marketing materials
- Coordinate with marketing teams on leads and campaign follow‑ups
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, or commercial administration
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
Desirable
- Experience supporting B2B sales teams
- Background in energy, technology, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Familiarity with order‑to‑cash processes
