Gemini Worktops is a rapidly growing family-owned business. Due to continued and significant growth, we are now looking for an experienced, professional and reliable Sales professional to join the team at our Middlesborough showroom.

This is a rare opportunity to join a very successful SME business with a creative, positive, and growth-oriented culture. Our company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team at our factory office at Riverside Park near Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be passionate about sales, driven to hit targets, and focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Sales Manager - Full Time - Permanent - Monday to Friday (weekend availability) - up to £45k basic plus bonus structure (£15k to £45k)

The Role
  • Manage, motivate, and coach a team of sales consultants to achieve targets.
  • Deliver regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and skills development.
  • Ensure the team follows sales processes and maintains high professional standards.
  • Management of under performance through giving active support and development.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of sales targets through day-to-day team management.
  • Support the team in converting leads into sales and providing an exceptional customer journey.
  • Resolve client queries promptly and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
  • Monitor individual and team performance metrics.
  • Provide updates to senior management on sales progress and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify areas of concern and develop plans to address them.
  • Support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Work closely with marketing to leverage campaigns and leads for maximum conversion.
  • Liaise with operations to ensure sales commitments are achievable and communicated effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Sales Management: Minimum 2 years (preferred).
  • Sales: Minimum 4 years (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing a sales team in a consumer-facing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Logical mindset and able to plan ahead.
  • Detail focussed and well organised.
  • Driven by targets and goals, and pushes themselves to achieve more.
  • Assertive and able to have difficult conversations in a respectful manner.
  • Confident and self assured but with respect and empathy for others.
  • Team orientated and willing to involve others and collaborate when problem solving.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and ability to track and manage sales pipelines.
  • Results-driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
