We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team at Orkes. As a key member of the sales team, you will bridge technical expertise and business value, helping prospective customers understand how Orkes can solve their challenges. This role suits a technical professional with problem-solving, customer interaction, and the ability to influence business decisions through technical insight.

Responsibilities
  • Solution Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of Orkes platform, architecture, and capabilities to act as a subject matter expert.
  • Customer Engagement: Partner with sales representatives to engage with prospects, assess their needs, and provide tailored demonstrations of Orkes solutions.
  • Technical Presentations: Lead presentations, technical deep-dives, and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to showcase the value of Orkes to diverse stakeholders.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and design effective solutions leveraging Orkes.
  • Solution Design: Partner with product and engineering to map customer requirements and build compelling solution demonstrations that showcase Orkes’ value proposition.
  • RFI/RFP Support: Coordinate with sales, marketing, and product teams to contribute to timely, winning responses to customer RFIs and RFPs.
  • Feedback Loop: Represent the voice of the customer, providing feedback to product and engineering to influence the roadmap.
  • Collaboration: Work with sales, customer support, product, and engineering to drive deals to closure and ensure customer success.
  • Training & Enablement: Deliver customer training on the Orkes platform and share best practices for optimizing workflow development using the latest capabilities, including GenAI and advanced human-tasks.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).
  • Experience with orchestration tools, workflow engines, or similar technologies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to map customer requirements to rapidly visualize compelling solutions leveraging Orkes’ platform capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow development and APIs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Prior experience working with open-source software or communities.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and system integrations.
