Sales Director

A sales management role responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for this industry leading UK building products manufacturer. The focus is on driving and increasing market share with national and regional house builders, most of which are already existing clients.

Package: £70k-£75k basic with a £10k uncapped bonus scheme. Family Bupa healthcare, management team pension, hybrid company car and 24 days holiday.

Location: National role, to be Midlands / Centrally based.

Products: GRP Canopies, Dormers, Chimneys, Bay Windows and Door Surrounds.

Customers: National house builders, regional developers, and housing associations.

The Role – Sales Director
  • Responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy, focusing on increasing market share with national and regional house builders.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a small team of 3 field sales representatives and 3 office‑based estimating/pre‑construction specialists.
  • Conduct dual visits with your field sales team, personally managing the relationship with house builders at head office level.
  • Strengthen relationships with purchasing, handle negotiations and lay the foundations for your team to operate across regional offices.
  • Work closely with the internal estimating team, who review drawings, design and price all products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across production, finance, marketing and other departments.
The Successful Applicant - Sales Director
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a small team.
  • Proven sector experience selling into house builders.
  • Skilled negotiator with a good understanding of the procurement process.
  • Strategic thinker with strong relationship‑building skills.
