As we expand our global commercial outreach, we’re seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Business Development team and help drive engagement across target sectors.

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative at PharmaVentures, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy identifying new opportunities, engaging decision-makers, and connecting them with our expert advisory teams. You’ll play a key role in bridging Marketing and Business Development, helping to convert campaign engagement and inbound interest into qualified business opportunities. This is an ideal role for someone who’s commercially minded, scientifically curious, and motivated to build a career in life sciences business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify new leads across biotech, pharma, medtech, and investor segments.
  • Conduct targeted outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone to engage senior executives.
  • Manage and update leads within our CRM (HubSpot)ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to follow up on campaign and conference leads, driving engagement and scheduling introductory meetings.
  • Support BD Directors and VPs by booking high-quality meetings and preparing background briefings.
  • Research companies, funding activity, and pipelines to build targeted prospect lists.
  • Provide weekly reports on outreach activity, conversion metrics, and lead pipeline status.
About You

You’re proactive, analytical, and relationship-oriented with a genuine interest in the intersection of science, strategy, and business. You enjoy building connections, learning from experts, and turning curiosity into commercial outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • 1–3 years’ experience in sales, business development, or lead generation, ideally in life sciences, consulting, or B2B professional services.
  • Understanding of pharma / biotech industry dynamics (licensing, partnerships, M&A, fundraising).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills especially across email and LinkedIn.
  • Confident using CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple outreach campaigns.
  • Research-driven mindset able to interpret funding, pipeline, and company data.
  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or HubSpot automation tools.
  • Interest in emerging trends: cell & gene therapy, AI in discovery, diagnostics, and precision medicine.
