A technology company in London is seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive business growth by identifying and qualifying new opportunities. The ideal candidate should have a background in B2B sales development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with senior decision-makers. This role offers hybrid work and the chance to learn from leading sales professionals.
At UnlikelyAI, we are building the future of AI: one that is reliable, explainable, and resistant to hallucination. Our patented neurosymbolic platform combines the expressive power of LLMs with the transparency and control of symbolic reasoning. This enables us to create AI systems that are accurate, auditable, and suitable for high-trust, high-stakes applications – where precision, traceability, and compliance are essential.
We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative to help drive UnlikelyAI’s growth by generating and qualifying new business opportunities. You’ll be the first point of contact with prospective clients, introducing them to how our technology transforms complex regulated processes within high risk industries.
This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, proactive, and motivated by uncovering customer needs and creating meaningful conversations. You’ll work closely with our sales and growth teams to identify ideal prospects, craft thoughtful outreach, and book meetings that lead to high-value commercial discussions.
This is a hands‑on position with real impact, offering the chance to shape how UnlikelyAI builds relationships with clients and brings cutting‑edge AI to industries where trust and accuracy truly matter.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering meaningful impact through your expertise:
Pipeline Building: Generate a qualified pipeline by identifying, researching, and reaching out to target accounts.
Strategic Prospecting: Craft personalised, high‑quality outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone) that resonates with senior stakeholders in banking, accountancy, insurance, and other regulated sectors.
Meeting Generation: Schedule quality meetings to understand prospect pain points and align them with UnlikelyAI’s value proposition.
Prospect Engagement: Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and product teams to refine messaging, campaigns, and target personas.
Performance Tracking: Track and analyse outreach effectiveness to continuously improve conversion rates and track engagement.
Market Intelligence: Gather and share valuable market insights with the wider business.
We’re seeking someone who combines technical depth with creativity, collaboration, and drive:
Experience: 6 months - 1 year in B2B sales development or a similar new business role.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
Professionalism: Comfortable engaging senior decision makers and building relationships from the first conversation. As well as confident presentation skills and a professional manner.
Persistence & Growth Mindset: Resilient, self‑motivated, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving startup environment.
Technical Proficiency: Organised and data‑driven. You take ownership of your pipeline and use tools (e.g. HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft) to manage outreach effectively.
Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of business dynamics.
Desirable (nice to have)
Industry Knowledge: Experience selling into financial services, accountancy, and insurance sectors.
Technical Understanding: An interest and understanding of AI, automation, or enterprise technology.
