Job description
About The Role

We are looking for a confident and influential Sales Coach to support the growth and performance of our Sales teams. This is the ideal role for someone who thrives on developing people, improving capability, and making a visible impact on commercial outcomes. If you are energised by coaching others and understand what excellence in a regulated sales environment looks like, this is the role for you.

As a Sales Coach, you will play a central role in shaping the success of new and existing sales people. You will deliver structured, data-driven coaching that improves sales capability, strengthens compliance behaviours, and enhances customer outcomes. Operating at the heart of onboarding and early tenure, your coaching will support speed‑to‑competence, uplift conversion, and reinforce FCA‑aligned conduct.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver structured 1:1 coaching sessions that build confidence, capability, and commercial impact.
  • Support new starters throughout the onboarding journey, providing the skills and behaviours needed for success in a regulated environment.
  • Deliver targeted coaching for objection handling, product knowledge, customer experience, and conversion uplift.
  • Support performance improvement activity (including PIPs) with structured capability coaching.
  • Reinforce FCA conduct standards, compliance rules, eligibility criteria, and customer outcome expectations.
  • Use version‑controlled materials and ensure coaching documentation is accurate, complete, and audit‑ready.
  • Identify risks or patterns of non‑compliance and escalate promptly.
  • Use QA insight, call listening, performance data, and behavioural observations to identify capability gaps.
  • Provide recommendations on readiness and contribute to sign‑off decisions for new starters.
  • Track performance trends and share insight to support continual coaching and programme improvements.
  • Work closely with the Onboarding Manager to ensure coaching standards, priorities, and outcomes are aligned.
  • Partner with L&D, QA, Sales Leaders, and Operations to ensure coaching reflects real‑world challenges and business expectations. Support call simulations, practice exercises, and confidence‑building activities for new team members. Ensure smooth handovers from onboarding to BAU teams, maintaining coaching continuity.
