Job summary

A retail company in Penrith is seeking sales assistants to provide high-class customer service and support store operations. The ideal candidates will have good communication skills and a friendly personality. No prior retail experience is required as training will be provided. This role includes 16 hours over 4 days, including weekends.

Yorkshire Trading Company are a family owned and run business with 35 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East; a busy E:Commerce operation and outdoor events teams who trade nationwide.

We now have an opportunity for an additional 3 recruits to the sales assistant team in our Penrith store.

The positions offered are: 16 hours over 4 days to include weekends on a rota basis and may include some early mornings.

Our goal is to provide high class customer service and to increase the company’s growth and revenue through sales maximisation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Welcome and greet customers
• Process sales through our Epos till system - Training given
• Actively involved in receiving deliveries
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Follow all companies policies and procedures

Requirements
