Shape the Safety Standards That Protect the Nation’s Most Critical Infrastructure
At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Safety Engineer at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.
As a Safety Engineer, you’ll play a significant part in supporting the safe delivery and operation of vital defence infrastructure. Your work will underpin the statutory, regulatory and engineering processes that ensure the effective running of the UK’s naval facilities and nuclear‑licensed operations.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll be preparing hazard identification and safety assessment documentation that meets nuclear site licence conditions, regulatory requirements and Babcock’s own internal standards. Working closely with Senior Safety Engineers, technical specialists and project teams, you’ll help ensure that all safety documentation is delivered accurately on time and aligned with operational needs.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
