Road Safety Training Officer – Ext. Funded

The Road Safety Team at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is recruiting a Road Safety Training Officer. This role is funded until 31 March 2026, with the possibility for extension for an additional year, subject to external funding.

Hours of work are 37 per week. The post may be worked in accordance with the Council's Hybrid Flexitime Hours Working Policy, combining office-based work at Llys Cadwyn in Pontypridd two days a week, working from home and site-based work.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver road safety education, training and publicity initiatives in schools and to target groups of the public.
  • Work under the direction of the Road Safety Manager and the Senior Road Safety Officer.
  • Travel throughout the County Borough to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Work in a range of environments including on‑street, schools and office.
  • Use relevant ICT equipment to support training delivery.
