Job summary

A specialist engineering firm in Romsey seeks an experienced Assembly & Test Technician for an on-site role. The position involves RF testing of PCBAs, electro-mechanical assembly, and system commissioning. Candidates should have a solid understanding of electronic principles and proven fault-finding skills. Successful applicants will be eligible for SC Clearance. This is an initial 10-month contract offering £210 per day. Opportunities to enhance process and documentation are also available.

Qualifications

• Experience in RF testing of PCBAs and system assemblies is essential.
• Eligibility for SC Clearance is required.
• Proven skills in fault-finding and troubleshooting of non-conforming products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct RF testing of PCBAs and system sub-assemblies.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly of products.
• Support commissioning and final acceptance testing.
• Record and collate test data according to instructions.
• Identify and repair non-conforming products.

Skills

Basic understanding of electronic principles

Experience in electro-mechanical assembly

Experience using automated and manual test equipment

Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

Working knowledge of RF testing
