  • Help raise awareness of the Hospice's work by promoting fundraising events and activities.
  • Assist with sorting, steaming, hanging, and displaying donated items following the shop manager’s guidance.
  • Operate the till confidently and handle cash transactions accurately.
Skills and Qualities We Value:
  • Honest, respectful, and trustworthy.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
  • Confident in communication and basic numeracy.
  • Creative in presenting shop displays to encourage sales.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Enjoy meeting new people and providing great customer service.
Training & Support:
  • Full training and ongoing support provided.
  • Access to relevant training such as Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Equality & Diversity.
  • Learn new skills and gain retail experience.
  • Meet new people and become part of a friendly team.
  • Feel proud knowing your time helps support Hospice care.
Dress Code:
  • Smart‑casual, clean, and presentable attire with comfortable shoes.
  • A volunteer badge will be provided and must be worn while on duty.
Availability:

Time and availability can be discussed with the Shop Manager.

Ideally, we ask for a commitment of four hours per week (e.g., 9am–1pm or 1pm–5pm), but we are happy to be flexible wherever possible.
