Job summary

Location: Brimscombe, Stroud
Hours: 16 per week (with some evenings/weekends)
Salary: £23,500 per annum pro rata
Holidays: 25 days + statutorypro rata
Pension: 6% employer contribution

Are you passionate about supporting people on their journey to recovery? The Nelson Trust is looking for a caring, reliable Driver to join our Residential Services team. You’ll play a vital role in helping clients access the very best opportunities for long-term recovery.

What You’ll Do
  • Safely transport clients to appointments, including GP, hospital, and prescription collections
  • Meet, greet, and welcome new clients, helping them feel at ease
  • Deliver crisis interventions and practical support as needed
  • Build positive relationships that encourage engagement with treatment
  • Carry out weekly safety checks on vehicles and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Support our team by assisting different departments as directed
What We’re Looking For
  • Full, clean driving licence (Category D1 for minibus driving is a plus)
  • Experience in a residential setting is desirable
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • First aid and health & safety awareness
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to build supportive relationships with clients
