Join us as a Rescue Pricing Optimisation & Strategy Lead in our Rescue Pricing & Underwriting Team. Green Flag have a legacy of being a strong brand in the Rescue market – we’re looking for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated pricer/data scientist to join our exciting team as we look to grow our brands and offerings.
What you’ll be doing

We’ll utilise your skills where they are most needed whilst also giving you to opportunity to build and grow the breadth of your expertise.
Reporting into the Head of Pricing & Underwriting, key responsibilities will include:
- Develop price optimisation capability and infrastructure, with the support of pricing practitioners & engineers, working with external pricing engines.
- Work closely with the Head of Trading & Head of Pricing & Underwriting to define & support Pricing Strategy.
- Develop data infrastructure to enable price optimisation, multiple scheme loss ratio management, and cater for clean data lineage across multiple platforms, ensuring technical specs are created & maintained.
- Support trading activity, including proposals, testing & PIRs, and oversee optimisation strategies.
- Develop trading MI reporting & conduct processes to support positive customer and pricing outcomes.
- Manage risk & trading performance, via Actual vs Expected and model development.
- Help develop & deliver the Pricing & Underwriting strategy & ensure the capability build required to deliver is in place.
- Liaise with our trading teams to deliver great customer and commercial outcomes.
- Work closely with the pricing & underwriting team to deliver great pricing & underwriting outcomes.
What you’ll need
- Experience of pricing a personal lines insurance product, in a price optimisation capacity.
- Understanding of modelling processes and concepts, and the link with risk/retail pricing.
- Experience in market standard pricing tools (e.g. Radar/Earnix) preferable.
- Proven people leadership skills.
- Experience managing transformations & supporting data environment builds desirable, but not essential.
- Experience working in Python desirable, but not essential.
- Ability to innovate & work in a fast paced environment, working with a breadth of initiatives.
- Experience working to budgets & developing business cases for capability enhancement.
