Job summary

A leading wine distributor in the United Kingdom seeks a results-driven Sales professional to manage and expand their customer base across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, and Greater London. This home-based role involves nurturing relationships with about 100 key customers and achieving annual sales of £1.5 million. Candidates should have proven sales experience in the wine or beverage industry, excellent communication skills, and a valid driver's licence. WSET Level II is mandatory, while Level III is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience within the wine or beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and the wine market.
  • WSET Level II required. WSET Level III and above preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a geographically dispersed territory.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand a customer base in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, and Greater London.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets of £1.5 million.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits to customers and develop strategic account plans.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and prepare sales presentations.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and report to the Head of Sales.

Education

WSET Level II certification
