Qualifications

  • NVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar is required.
  • Experience in working on poultry units is essential.
  • Ability to perform physical duties on farms.

Responsibilities

  • Cover Farm Staff absence and manage livestock wellbeing.
  • Ensure all aspects of running the farms are met.
  • Maintain environmental conditions and bio security practices.
  • Keep accurate records of farm operations.

Job description

The main responsibility of the Relief Farm Manager is to cover Farm Staff absence as required including the wellbeing and performance of the livestock.

Regular travel and visits to farms allocated farms across the Norfolk/Suffolk/Essex Agriculture Division, within Broiler Department will be necessary.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring all aspects of running the farms are met.
  • Ensuring welfare of livestock.
  • Maintain optimum environmental conditions and ensure bird welfare and bio security practices are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Ensuring that high standards of animal welfare, hygiene and husbandry practice are maintained.
Requirements/Experience Required
  • Experience of working on poultry units.
  • Ability to carry out manual duties.
  • NVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar.
  • Valid UK driving license.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary: Starting at £37,216.20
